Welcome to the EdCamp GV Website
ATTENTION: PARKING!
Our participants can park for free in D1, the lot just north of Mackinac Hall - where the conference is, as long as they identify themselves as EdCamp GV participants. If you do not, you will be charged $5 for football parking and we really won’t be able to get the money back. GV officials strongly discouraged having participants eat off campus for lunch because of no available parking spaces when you return around 1 pm. There are places to eat on campus, and we will have a map available with different options open on Saturday.
EdCamp GV is a free "unconference" targeting novice and new K-12 teachers (though all educators are welcome). This is a chance for teachers to take charge of developing the profession. Participants will share what is working in their classes and get support in areas where they are experiencing struggles. The format allows teachers to network with other educators from West Michigan. Participants collaborate on a big board of sessions at the start of the day, posting notecards with topics that you would like to hear about or are willing to support or co-lead. There's a forum on this weebly to share ideas you have before the conference.
